Understand Electric Current to Improve your Electro-Acupuncture Treatments

Understand Electric Current to Improve your Electro-Acupuncture Treatments

Since my machine uses a battery, isn’t my machine putting out Direct Current (DC)? There is circuitry inside a standard electro-acupuncture machine that takes the battery’s direct current and changes it into Alternating Current (AC).

Is Direct Current or Alternating Current safe to use with needles in Electro-Acupuncture Treatments?

Alternating current is entirely safe for use with needles and is considered tonifying. However, the direct current should not be used with needles since it can cause some of the metal ions in the needles to dissolve and create toxic effects.

If Direct current is unsafe to use with needles, what can we use it for?

Direct current is excellent for killing pathogens such as Herpes in the example of a cold sore. Dr. Bjorn Nordenstrom used DC current to dissolve tumors in the 1950s.

What can we use Alternating current for?

Alternating current is what the majority of our electro-acupuncture devices put out. We can use it to tonify channels, tissues, fluids, and more. In the clinic, we use AC every day to help our patients reverse their diseases.
